About

What is CDFYFC?

County Durham Federation of Young Farmers is made up of 7 Young Farmers Clubs, within County Durham. Members are aged 10-28. You don’t have to be a ‘farmer’ to join YFC- Just enjoy being with people your own age, like making your own decisions, and most importantly having a good time! County has volunteers, Club Advisors and Trustees to help Clubs when needed.

The County has a Club Development Officer, Jodie email: jodiehcdyfcdevoff@gmail.com who regularly visits clubs during their evening meetings. Jodie also attends events around the region where she is happy to chat about YFC to the public!

What do we do?

What goes on at a YFC Meeting? Members get together to choose how they wish to spend their weekly or fortnightly club meetings. It could be running some fun competitions or a social event, doing some fundraising, taking part in some County run activity or training, this could range from a messy games night to public speaking or baking a cake, ATV handling or a sheep grand-national!
