What is CDFYFC?

County Durham Federation of Young Farmers is made up of 8 Young Farmers Clubs, and one Schools Club within County Durham. Members are aged 10-26. You don’t have to be a ‘farmer’ to join YFC- Just enjoy being with people your own age, like making your own decisions, and most importantly having a good time! County has volunteers, Club Advisors and Trustees to help Clubs when needed.

As well as an office based County Organiser Janice, email info@cdfyfc.co.uk , County also has a Club Support Officer Claire email: cso535@hotmail.co.uk who regularly visits clubs during their evening meetings. Claire also attends summer shows around the region where she is happy to chat about YFC to the public!

What do we do?

What goes on at a YFC Meeting? Members get together to choose how they wish to spend their weekly or fortnightly club meetings it could be running some fun competitions or a social event, doing some fundraising, taking part in some County run activity or training, this could range from a messy games night to public speaking or baking a cake, ATV handling or a sheep grand-national!
